KAL to the rescue

Christie and Jen, thank you for starting the 2007 Fall Cable KAL!

I'm Nicki, and currently live in Austin, TX. My Ravelry ID is loopette.

I cast on one of my projects this morning: The Irish Hiking Scarf in Liisu Supersoft Merino, 'cranberry', for the Red Scarf Project. It's going pretty quickly, which is a satisfying feeling after fiddling with lace projects most of the summer.

What is everyone else casting on for this adventure?

Nicki

That is such beautiful yarn. I've visited the Liisu web site from time to time, which I did again after reading your post. And I discovered there is a booth at Stitches East, where I can see the yarn first hand. It is now on my must-see list for the market. Thanks for sharing your project--it looks great.

Marjorie, thanks for your kind comments. It is making up BEAUTIFULLY! I am about 65% finished now. If you can get some at Stitches East, GRAB IT! It is so beautiful, soft, springy, and color saturated. The cables pop right out at you.

There are a couple of other breathtaking colorways, Old World and Blueteous, which are GORGEOUS.

Sure wish I was still living back in the DC area ... I would love to go to Stitches East!!
